The Campaign Trail - July 11 in Westchester County
Being that Jim's father is Italian and his mom is Irish, Sunday was the perfect day for the campaign! Jim, Jean, Michael and some dedicated volunteers attended the Italian Heritage Festival at Kensico Dam and the Irish Heritage Festival in Hartsdale. At the Italian festival, "Maisano" was pretty self explanatory (and well received). However, at the Irish festival it was a little more difficult to let people know that Jim is also half Irish. Jim and Michael both wore a stickers depicting "County Clare," the county in Ireland where his mother's family lived. The stickers opened the way to a lot of great conversations. Fantastic food, outstanding music and a wonderful reception by hundreds of people made this an "all star day" on the campaign trail! Pictured here are Jim, Michael and the Negro/DiSapia family. Be sure to visit the flickr photos for more fun shots from the day.
